Book Fair, Exhibition of Art and Fair of Furniture Exceed Expectations

The first evens organised by the Novi Sad Fair this year - 17th International Fair of Furniture and Interior Decoration Ambijenta, 14th International Book Fair and 13th Exhibition of Art Art Expo have been visited by over 300,000 visitors during six days.
According to the executive manager in charge of exhibitions at the Novi Sad Fair, Ms Imelda Monarov Čuljak, this business year has started well. The exhibitors are satisfied with their presentations and sales results. The quality of organisation has been confirmed by attracting more than 50 renowned people from cultural and public life.
The notion of success is also attributed to several important events, such as the exhibition From Picasso to Marina Abramović", the Days of Laza Kostić", theme-exhibitions prepared by previous laureates of the "Sava Šumanović" Award, exhibition of caricatures Pjer and the Brave Ambience event at the Fair of Furniture.
The Master Congress Centre has hosted an international symposium Art of New Identities in the field of art, tree professional meetings on media issues and a panel-talk Ambience Design".
There were also around forty different promotions, meetings with authors, poets, presentations of new editions and libraries, talks on current trends in applied art. Particularly attractive have been guest-stars, such as Tony Parsons, Vida Ognjenović and Olja Ivanjicki.
The expert committee have awarded the "Laza Kostić" recognition to writer Nikola Malović for his novel "Lutajući Bokelj", while the "Sava Šumanović" Award has gone to Dragoljub-Raša Todosijević. Apart from these prestigious recognition, there were traditional recognition awarded by the Novi Sad Fair for product quality, such as Good Design ".
The programme of business and professional activities and supporting events at the Fiar of Furniture "Ambijenta", Book Fair and the Exhibition of Art "Art Expo" was extensive and varied. The Master Congress Centre, the Master Hall and the exhibition stands have seen three symposia, two round-table discussions and a panel-talk.
