Fair Visited by 40,000, 300 Vehicles Sold

26.10.2008.
The 8th "Car show - Novi Sad", which finishes today at the Novi Sad Fair has seen 300 vehicles sold. According to manager of Car Show, Miroslav Radišić, these somewhat poorer sales results are consequence of the global financial crisis and the announced decrease of import tax for vehicles from the European Union, which should take effect on 1st January.

"Peugeot" has sold as many as 60 vehicles, and due to special fair discount their dealer network has sold 200 cars. Excellent results have also been achieved by "Zastava", selling 50 models and "Volkswagen", selling 45 passenger and commercial vehicles. Naturally, real business results are expected after the event, when the arrangements made at the Car Show are implemented, concluded Radišić at the final press conference.
This year’s Car Show has been attended by over 40,000 visitors and marked by discussions of safety in traffic.
"Car Show Novi Sad" was also marked by the "Tuning styling show", the largest event of its kind in the Balkans. Apart from the competition in styling and for the best modified car and the most powerful audio system, there was also an amateur speed race "1 on 1 - 201 meter".

The next event at the Novi Sad Fair will be held between 4th and 7th November, when "Investexpo" is organized. This event gathers experts from local self-governments, financial institutions and agencies, government and non-government organizations and producers, tacking issues related to investments, power supply, electronics and telecommunication, logistics and transport. At the same time, there will be the Fair of Civil Engineering, which finishes one day later, on 8th November.
